Yesterday I went out with ning. We went to...uh...Bugis! To like...check out stuff and all. =D
Yes...it was unbearable hot and crowded, but we got what we wanted in the end. I bought two simple silver rings for $20 and ning got her yuffie-lookalike-pants plus wristband. It was kinda cool. I mean...searching for stuff like that. o.O we found lots of weird places lol. And the place where we got the pants, the shop helper guy was extremely helpful. He saw the pictures and figured that we wanted to cosplay and needed the clothes lol. But sadly...we couldn't find her yuffie-jacket. I was told that it used to be on sale, but it's sold out alrdy.
We couldn't find anything for rikku...but i guess there's no need to rush.
After all, this is the first time we're doing this and i'm kinda excited. Haha.
Then ning treated me to ice-cream! Kyaaaaaaaa~! I was so happy lol. (That was probably one of the sweetest ice-cream I've ever eaten.)
We walked till we nearly died. (And I was late in getting home.) Ning said she found the yuna's necklace thingy. But I felt that I should go and see whether it was worth it before buying.
My playstation 2 is now safely back at home, fixed and in a good condition! Hurrah!
During the night, I went for a wedding dinner. It's someone from my father's side. Supposingly some elder cousin of mine. The coolest part was, the bride and bridegroom are called "Jarral and Jaraldine" respectively. O.O woah. Like...talk about fate. Either they gave each other the same names or they are destined to marry each other. The bride was pretty~
Then something embarrassing happened.
Because my mum felt that i needed to socialize, she told my aunt to drag (yes drag.) me to the other table where all the other kids are, and make me socialize. Unable to refuse, I had to follow her. =.= (But also cuz i noticed a sorta-cute guy...no wait. that wasn't the main reason. I swear. ^^") When I got there, they introduced everybody to me...except for the person whom I have never met before and I thought as 'good-looking'.
So I did the stupidest thing ever. I looked at my cousin (somehow playfully) and I said, "Who is he? Your boyfriend arh?"
She freaked out and shook her head vigorously. "Nono...peng2 you2 er2 yi3." (Translated: Nono...just a friend only.)
Well well. Silly me thought that she was being embarrassed and shy. So I semi-smiled and nodded. When I walked away, my aunt nudged me and whispered darkly, "You wan die arh? Ask that kind of question." (okay...so maybe she didn't say it like this, but the gist of it is like that.)
I went, "Huh?"
"That one is a girl."
WTH. WTH. WTH. I went like....several blushes of red before returning to normal then pale.
A GIRL!?!?!?!?!
ZOMG.
LIKE...AM I SO BLIND THAT I CAN'T EVEN TELL THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A GIRL AND A GUY!?!?!?!
So I stared at the girl/guy person for like...a few seconds. Hair...yup, like a guy. Shirt and pants were baggy... Every single thing points to that person being a guy.
But NO. She's a girl.
I had a shock of my life. This isn't the first time this has happened. (and it happened within a week!)
The first time I mistook a girl for a guy was during cosfest. I saw a girl cosplaying as Kira (and yes, she looked damn hawt. x.x Definitely more so than the other guys.) and I thought that she was a guy. Until, someone gave me a reality check and I realized that 'he' was, in fact, a 'she'.
I nearly fainted.
Is this an impending sign of doom that I have lost my sense of 'who's a guy and who's a girl' and that I may be bisexual?
(I'm joking. Don't take me seriously.)
But yeah. I did get a shock.
Then I realized. (yes, once again.)
My definition of good-looking people are mostly, what we call, "Pretty Boys".
No, not the gay types. But the slightly femine (AS IN LOOKS. Not behaviour.) and cool kind of guys.
I'm doomed. That means I'll either turn lesbian or like...have sickeningly high standards.
(once again, I'm joking about the lesbian part. I'm just still in shock.)
Hmm. I'll continue this post later. I need to go my work first. I'll post the pictures of my rings next time~
